All children enrolled in Years 4 to 6 are eligible to join the School’s Instrumental Band Program. This program is facilitated by P&C volunteers in partnership with the Band Leader Cameron Harries and the school.
Children participating in the band program:
- Provide their own instrument
- Receive weekly professional tuition (arranged by the school)
- Attend weekly Senior and Junior Band rehearsals (Friday mornings)
- Attend performance events as required
- Pay an annual band fee to cover costs of music and equipment
- Commit to involvement for the 3 year period
- Participate in a biennial music camp.

The band is managed by the Band Committee, a sub-committee of the Banksia Park Primary P&C. All parents of students participating in Band are encouraged to join.
