Voluntary Contributions & Charges
The Banksia Park Primary School Board has endorsed the schedule of Contributions and Charges for 2024 in accordance with the School Education Regulations 2000 as part of the School Education Act 1999. This schedule is designed to provide you with information about anticipated costs that may occur throughout the year and will allow you to calculate all costs that you may incur during the school year.
Voluntary Contributions
VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS – $60.00 PER STUDENT
Funds raised through contributions allow us to enhance the learning environment at Banksia Park Primary School through purchasing resources and running programs to benefit all students. Whilst contributions are voluntary the quality of our teaching and learning program will be maximised when all families contribute.
Money collected will be used to supplement school expenditure in the provision of the Learning Programs in:
- Photocopying
- Classroom activities
- Computer software and printing
- Library books
- Science resources and materials
- Visual Arts resources and materials
- Mathematics resources and materials
- Physical Education and Health resources and materials
- Technology resources
- English resources
- Language (Japanese) resources and materials
- Music resources and materials
Charges for Optional Activities
Students will engage in a variety of activities associated with educational programs for which charges will be incurred. Please note that these are anticipated activities and charges and not a guarantee that they will occur. An Excursion / Incursion note will be sent home detailing an activity and the cost at the time of the activity and payment will be required prior to the event taking place.
The extra cost optional charges schedule includes costs associated with:
- Specific learning activities available to all students, but conditional on a payment being made eg incursions, excursions, etc.
- Specific learning activities available to selected students, but conditional on a payment being made eg PEAC, School of Instrumental Music program, Interschool Athletics etc.
- Other activities available to all students, but conditional on a payment being made eg school picnics.
